Marla's Blog
"I was washing dishes and feeling wishy-washy. For the last two
hours I'd been playing new album after new album and nothing seemed to spark.
Was I jaded? Still dazed by the holiday? Then Marla BB leaped out of the
speakers in the other room, grabbed me tightly by the collar and demanded that I
start paying some attention. You can almost hear those martial arts skills in
action! Her new album "Destiny Meets Devil at the Crossroads" was on, and if
there's one thing it's not, it's background music. It is however, everything
else..."

Met you and some of your sled crew while I was fly fishing the Gorge last September. Nice site, goooood music. I think you visited my site months ago and asked for photos of the gorge. Just saw the post and tracked you down.
Any, stay busy!!
K- Comment by Ken01-25-2010Hey Marla BB!!!!!!!!!!!
Whatzup? Do you remember this sign language interpreter that signed for you at Gulf Coast Women's Festival about 20 or so years ago? Surely you do. Then you came by to visit me in Charlotte, NC and then your friend, Vivian, came and stayed here while she was in town for training?
Anyway, someone asked me the other day if you were still around and singing, etc., so I looked you up and guess what I found you. Sounds like you are doing all kinds of interesting things now in addition to your music.
So stay true to who you are...........blues is forever. Have recently gotten to meet Ruthie Foster. Have been knowing Gaye from Saffire and the Uppity Blues Women for a minute. They are no longer touring although Gay is doing some other stuff. Feel in love with Eric Bibb's music when he performed with Ruthie Foster.
You can find me on Facebook if you want to see what I look like these days.
Be blessed!

Even got to do some kick sled mushing on our local lake with my Malamute & her nephew. 2 dogs & we were still running behind the sled. My daughter got her 1st ride of the season. We belted her onto the seat, I put on my skates & Lightening was off & running after me. Amid the wind chill, I saw smiles on my baby girls' face, especially when we went really fast!
Guess who's going to Alaska for "The Last Great Race", The Iditarod Sled Dog Race?
